Jazz students will hold soup fundraiser for South Brunswick Food Pantry

The “Soup”er Night For Jazz hosted by Crossroads Middle School South will serve as a fundraiser for the South Brunswick Food Pantry.

The Art Department at the school has been working with clay to design bowls in the model of the Empty Bowls Project, which was a grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in an effort to end hunger.

The Crossroads South Jazz groups have teamed up with the Art Department and local restaurants to put on a night of art, music, soup and “Community Helping Community” from 6-8 p.m. on April 21 at the Crossroads South Cafe, 195 Major Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

The $10 admission fee includes a meal of soup, bread and dessert as well as a handcrafted ceramic bowl.

All proceeds will benefit the South Brunswick Food Pantry.
