LITTLE SILVER – Taking locals on an excursion to see everything and the kitchen sink, the Little Silver Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) presents the Little Silver Kitchen Tour that will be held May 4.

The tour will run at 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will begin at the historic Parker Homestead located at 235 Rumson Road, Little Silver.

The self-guided tour will feature nine kitchens including – the home of “House of Cline” designer Amanda Haytaian, and one of the oldest kitchens in Monmouth County, located at the Parker Homestead. Attendees will also receive culinary delights from some of Monmouth County’s finest chefs, according to a statement prepared by Little Silver Kitchen Tour.

“The Little Silver PTO sponsored their first kitchen tour in 2008, the second one was held in 2011. After a five year hiatus, the Little Silver PTO decided to bring the tour back to showcase kitchens as well as highlight the talents of area builders, decorators, chefs
and florists,” Kelly Boyer, co-chair of the Little Silver Kitchen Tour said.

Guests will also have the opportunity to shop The Red Barn Boutique from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the newly renovated barns at the Parker Homestead, according to Boyer.

Touring of the homes will start at 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“Visit the Little Silver Kitchen tour to become inspired. Whether you are interested in historic homes, modern kitchens, culinary delights, décor and or beautiful floral design, you will have an opportunity to view the magic of our amazing vendors,” Boyer said.

All proceeds from the tour will go toward supporting the Little Silver PTO’s mission to enhance the educational experience of children by providing curriculum based enrichment activities, exposure to cultural arts, and programming that supports character development, according to Boyer.

This event would not be possible without the support of Monmouth Medical Center Foundation RWJ Barnabas Health, House of Cline Design, Builders General Supply Company, Almasy Law, The Parker Homestead-1665, the local community and area businesses, according to a prepared statement from Little Silver Kitchen Tour.
