EAST BRUNSWICK – The passenger of a vehicle involved in a motor vehicle crash died less than a week later from injuries sustained in the crash.
A 37-year-old woman from Old Bridge was operating a 2007 Honda Accord north on Route 18 at Rues Lane around 5:58 a.m. on April 28.
A 57-year-old woman from East Brunswick was operating a 2005 Nissan Altima east on Rues Lane at the intersection with Route 18 with a 40-year-old male passenger from Staten Island, New York.
Both vehicles collided while traveling through the intersection, according to information provided by the East Brunswick Police Department.
The male passenger was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for serious injuries sustained in the crash. He died from those injuries on May 3, police said.
The driver of the Altima was transported to the same hospital with moderate but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Accord did not sustain any injuries, according to police.
