“Liberty Extravaganza” staged July 2 in Red Bank

The 29th annual “Liberty Extravaganza” concert will be returning to Red Bank on July 2.

The event will take place at the Tower Hill First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank, which is  located at 255 Harding Road in Red Bank.

The free concert is slated to start at 7:30 p.m., but light food will be served starting at 5 p.m., according to the Tower Hill Church press release. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. for the concert. Residents are encouraged to come early to ensure a seat.

According to the release, the concert features music by the Liberty Choir, soloists and a brass ensemble. The choir is made up of choral singers from the church and the community, under the direction of Adam Peithmann and with accompaniment by Nicole Cochran, director of traditional music at Tower Hill.

The concert will include patriotic songs, Broadway show tunes, and popular sing-a-long songs that the audience participates in, according to the release.

Also, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., a country jamboree band, the Hot Tators, will perform on the patio. A light fare and homemade strawberry shortcake desserts will also be available for a small charge, with proceeds going to Tower Hill’s student programs.
