A busy intersection in Marlboro will be the focus of design work to be conducted by an engineering firm.
On June 22, the Monmouth County Board of Freeholders authorized Maser Consulting, Red Bank, to perform professional engineering services regarding the design of intersection improvements at Route 520 and Wyncrest Road in Marlboro after determining that a need for those services exists.
Route 520 is a county road.
The proposal by Maser Consulting to undertake the work was for a cost not to exceed $236,062. The firm will be required to submit periodic reports detailing the work it has performed, according to a resolution passed by the board.
In other business, the freeholders authorized the donation of a 2001 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 to the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad. County officials said the vehicle is no longer needed for public use.
Finally, the freeholders reappointed Teri O’Connor as the county administrator for a five-year term ending on Dec. 31, 2022.
