The “Just For The Health Of It!” consumer health initiative will offer three health programs this month on a variety of topics at the East Brunswick Library, Civic Center Drive.
The library is partnering with Quality Insights Quality Innovation Network, Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc. and the Middlesex County Office of Health Services to offer a weekly Diabetes Self-Management workshop series from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15-Oct. 27.

Licensed physical therapist Swati Juneji will present “Movement Matters” at 7 p.m. Sept. 25. The program shares ways to improve physical capabilities to preserve them into the future. Juneji is currently the director of Rehabilitation Services at Brunswick Physical Therapy.
Mike Salum and Justin Lubenow of Senior Advisors LLC will lead a Medicare workshop on at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27. Several topics will be discussed, including Medicare changes in 2018, mistakes made by Medicare beneficiaries, the difference between original Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans, how supplemental policies and prescription drug programs work, and some of the proposed future changes to Medicare.
