HAZLET–A 14 year-old boy remains in critical condition after being hit by a car on Sept. 3 at the intersection of Highway 36 and Seagate Avenue, according to Lt. Robert Mulligan.
The boy was riding his bicycle while crossing the highway from the southbound side to the northbound side of Route 36 when he was struck by the car at around 2:25 p.m., according to Mulligan.
After the crash the boy was taken by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University in New Brunswick and was in critical condition at this time, according to Mulligan.
The boy remains in critical condition, according to Mulligan.
The driver suffered a broken nose and minor lacerations, according to Mulligan.
Currently the crash is under investigation, according to Mulligan.
