Pension Road homes burglarized

MANALAPAN – Police are investigating a pair of burglaries to homes on Pension Road.

At 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20, a resident reported that a home on Pension Road, Manalapan, was burglarized during the daytime hours. Several items were reported stolen. A door to the residence was forcibly opened and the bedrooms were specifically targeted, according to police. No one was home at the time of the incident.

Less than one hour later, at 3:04 p.m. Oct. 20, a second resident reported that another home on Pension Road had been burglarized during the daytime hours. Jewelry and other items were reported stolen. As in the previous burglary, a door to the residence was forcibly opened and the bedrooms were specifically targeted. No one was home at the time of the incident, according to police.

In other incidents reported by Manalapan police:

• At 6:55 p.m. Oct. 20, a resident reported that sometime during the overnight hours an unknown individual vandalized his vehicle while it was parked on Arrowood Road. The resident estimated the damage to the vehicle at $200.

• At 8:51 p.m. Oct. 18, a resident reported that unknown individuals removed a ladder valued at approximately $500 from a Gettysburg Drive residence sometime between Oct. 17 and Oct. 18.
