Three high ranking officers to retire from South Brunswick Police Department

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Three longtime police officers will end their careers in South Brunswick as of Jan. 1.

Deputy Chief James Stoddard and Captain John McNamara served with the South Brunswick Police Department for 30 years, according to a resolution read during the Dec. 11 council meeting. Sgt. Michael Rogers served for 22 years.

All three are “very knowledgeable and experienced in the areas for which [they are] responsible and dedicated [their] career(s) to serving the public” and they “will be missed for [their] abilities, knowledge and professionalism” during their dedicated service to South Brunswick.

The officers could not be reached by press time.
