MILLSTONE – The Township Committee has awarded a $19,893 contract for work at parks, municipal buildings and property in the community.
The contract was awarded to On-Site Landscape Management Inc. during a meeting on Feb. 21. Mayor Gary Dorfman, Deputy Mayor Nancy Grbelja and committee members Fiore Masci and Michael Kuczinski voted to award the contract. Committeeman Bob Kinsey was absent.
On-Site Landscape Management, which is based in the township, will perform turf fertilization and a chemical program schedule at Wagner Farm Park, Rocky Brook Park, Abate Park and Brandywine Park, at the veterans memorial, at the municipal building, at the municipal courthouse, at the community center, and at the former Clarksburg Methodist Episcopal Church, which is owned by the township and used for community events, according to the resolution.
Bids for the work were accepted on Feb. 14. In addition to On-Site Landscape Management’s bid of $19,893, Tru-Green Limited Partnership of Farmingdale submitted a bid of $27,476. On-Site Landscape Management was awarded the contract on the recommendation of the township’s purchasing agent as the lowest bidder, according to the resolution.
