Temple Emanu-El to hold concert with Nefesh Mountain, Gay Pride Shabbat

Temple Emanu-El will hold its 36th annual spring concert featuring Nefesh Mountain at 8 p.m. on June 2 at the temple, 100 James St., Edison.

Husband and wife Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff integrate bluegrass and old-time music with Jewish heritage and tradition. There will be songs in English and Hebrew.

A dessert reception will follow the concert.

Then, at 7 p.m. June 8, the temple will hold Shabbat Alive!, a participatory musical Shabbat service. This month will feature a special blessing for all graduates.

Tot Shabbat, an age-appropriate learning program for children up to six years old, which also includes a Jewish-themed art and craft session, starts at 6 p.m. on June 15.

Gay Pride Shabbat will feature a special service celebrating the gay and lesbian community at 8 p.m., June 15.
