The Metuchen Art & Music Festival (METFEST) – formerly known as Junebug – will take place from noon to 10 p.m. on June 9 throughout the streets of Downtown Metuchen. Rain date is June 16.
There will be art “live” on the street, including a pottery wheel exhibit, plein air painting, a yarn spinning demonstration, a bonsai bonanza and a paper art installation on leaf litter.
There will be beer and wine gardens, plus a food court.
Two stages will feature a lineup of rock, indie and folk performances.
The Junior Bug Zone for children will include a giant wall mural, selfie station, bubble fun, face painting and life-sized games.
Free parking in the public garage.
Main, New and Pearl streets will be closed to traffic.
