Katelyn Spina of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Katelyn is a freshman in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, majoring in environmental planning and design. She is the daughter of George and Mary Spina and is a 2017 graduate of Manalapan High School.

Josh Grun and Zack Grun, 2017 graduates of Marlboro High School, have been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester. Josh is a political science major at the University of Delaware, Newark, Del. Zack is a music education major at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, New Brunswick.

Isabella Schaffer of Manalapan was named to the dean’s honor list at Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio, for the 2018 spring semester.

Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pa., announced that the following area residents have been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Nicole Kane of Freehold, early childhood education major; and Colleen McGovern of Manalapan, health and occupation major.

Francesca Esposito of Marlboro was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Esposito was initiated at the University of Delaware, Newark, Del.

The University of Rhode Island, Kingston, R.I., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Emily Anne Barden of Morganville, Stephen Czekaj of Morganville, Briana Nicole Del Giudice of Marlboro, Amanda Rose Donnelly of Morganville, Cassidy Morgan Kalman of Marlboro, Alexa Marie Martucci of Freehold, Taylor S. Ng of Freehold, Stephen Edward Panfile of Englishtown, Jared R. Price of Manalapan, Erik Ryan Snyder of Manalapan, Gabriella Thomas of Colts Neck, Thomas Totillo of Manalapan and Robert L. Weise of Freehold.

Victoria A. Zamarra of Manalapan received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude,
from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Mass., at its 172nd commencement on May 25.

Michael Havkins of Manalapan, a student at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., was one of 71 Muhlenberg students named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for the spring 2018 season. The students were recognized for their performance in the classroom and on the field, court, track and course. Michael is a member of the Class of 2018.

Conor P. O’Brien of Freehold received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with a mathematics minor and physics minor from the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Va. Conor’s graduating honors include Air Force Commission and Earl L. Valentine Jr. Award. O’Brien’s parents are Kathleen Burke-O’Brien and William J. O’Brien.

Stacey Louise Davis Moss of Freehold Township has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and was awarded first honors in history for outstanding ability and achievement in major from Georgian Court University, Lakewood. Stacey is the wife of James Moss, and the mother of Nick, Cameron and the late Nate Moss. She received her Associate of Arts degree in 2013 from Brookdale Community College and is a member of the international honor society Phi Theta Kappa and a member of Phi Alpha Theta honor society. She is a 1986 graduate of Lamoille Union High School, Hyde Park, Vt.

Nicholas Piscopo of Freehold was among 15 members of the University of Scranton, Pa., class of 2018 who graduated from the university’s Business Leadership Honors Program. Nicholas, who graduated cum laude, majored in finance at Scranton.

Geena Ragozine of Freehold has graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pa. Geena is 2014 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School and is the daughter of Frank and Fran Ragozine.

Jennifer Thorsheim of Manalapan has graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pa. Jennifer is a 2014 graduate of Freehold Township High School and is the daughter of Chris and Lori Thorsheim.

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, East Stroudsburg, Pa., has named the following Freehold residents to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Mallory Borchers, public health major; Haile Donahoe, physical education teacher education major; Cayla Fiumara, communication sciences and disorders major; and Alyson Leblanc, special education/early childhood major.

Jason Skibinski, a musical theater major from Freehold, has been named to the president’s list (4.0 GPA) at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C., for the 2018 spring semester.

Jimmy Joseph Christi of Morganville has received a Master of Science, occupational therapy professional development degree from Mount Mary University, Milwaukee, Wisc.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C., announced that the following area residents have been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 spring semester: Charles Blue of Freehold, an exercise and sport science major; Kyle Cannon of Freehold, an intelligence and national security studies major; Skylar Demartinis of Marlboro, an intelligence and national security studies major; and Amanda Martin of Manalapan, a public health major.

Colby College, Waterville, Maine, has awarded degrees to the following area residents: Tomotaka Cho of Morganville, who majored in mathematical sciences with a concentration in statistics. Tomotaka attended the Peddie School and is the son of Takamune and Aimi Cho; and Christian R. Sparacio of Marlboro, who majored in history. Christian attended the George School and is the son of Joseph and Karen Sparacio.

Gabrielle Davis, the daughter of Hank and Joanna Davis of Freehold Township, graduated from the Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y., Physician Assistant Program summa cum laude with a Master’s of Science degree. Gabrielle has accepted a position at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, specializing in orthopedic surgery (spine).

James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., announced that Mackenzie Gallon of Manalapan has been named to the president’s list (3.9 GPA or higher) for the 2018 spring semester. Mackenzie is majoring in Communication Studies.
