Anna Polakowski Rapcinski

Mrs. Rapcinski, 87, of Edison, formerly of Milltown, died Sept. 17 in Briarwood Care and Rehabilitation Center, Sayreville. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 1988, and by a daughter, Laura Burton, in 2005. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Ronald Kabara of Edison; three sisters, Frances and Eleanor Polakowski, both of Pennsylvania, and Emily Barbish of Warren, Mich.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Matthew’s Church, Edison. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, N.Y.

Bessie A. Watson Quinn

Mrs. Quinn, 82, of Hazlet, died Sept. 19 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Scotland, she resided in the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge for 56 years, prior to moving to Hazlet two years ago. She was a secretary at Weston Instruments, Newark, where she was employed 12 years. She was an avid Yankees fan, and bowler, and sponsor of Bessie’s Crew at Airport Plaza Lanes. She was predeceased by her husband, Cornelius Quinn; and two brothers, Robert Watson and James Watson. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Brenneman of Hazlet; and 28 nieces and nephews. Entombment was at Cloverleaf Memorial park Cemetery, Woodbridge.
