The fitness club WOW! Work Out World with 38 locations worldwide, recently awarded a master license to Alex Moisescu of Wojian Sports Development Company, LTD, the People’s Republic of China, with the new facility opening next month in Dalian, China. The clubs offer services such as basketball, racquetball, and chiropractic services. Local WOW facilities are in Middletown, Freehold, Brick, Tinton Falls, Red Bank and East Brunswick.

The Central Jersey Women’s Network will hold its monthly dinner meeting and program Nov. 10 from 6-9 p.m. at Holiday Inn at Tinton Falls, 700 Hope Road. Family Resource Associates (FRA) of Shrewsbury was recently named a Microsoft accessibility resource center (MARC), one of only 26 designees nationwide. The FRA’s TECHConnection program is equipped with new video demonstrations and accessibility tutorials that show how to make computing easier, more convenient and more comfortable. Charschan Chiropractic and Sports Injury Associates, 490 Georges Road, North Brunswick, will hold its annual turkey drive Nov. 1-21, and will donate a turkey to The Salvation Army’s holiday program. The Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA) recently received a 2005 Outstanding Achievement in Recycling Award from the New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection. The MCIA was honored for its education outreach programs. The Authority uses “MC Blue,” a recycling education robot to inform the public about recycling; and also distribute its “Reuse It” directory encouraging residents to donate unwanted goods to organizations within Middlesex County for reuse.
