Artisan Studio celebrates 15th anniversary

Artisan Studio will celebrate its 15th anniversary in Marlboro’s historic Hobart House, as its founder Marlene Bohnyak celebrates more than 30 years of instruction and sharing her passion for art. Over the years her staff, studio space and class offerings have grown.

Artisan Studio is in Summer Art Camp mode through Aug. 24.

Weekly classes resume in September and enrollment is currently available online. The school year brings the return of workshops, winter and spring break art camps, parties for children and “Wine & Dezine” parties for adults.

Artisan Studio offers many ways for students to express themselves and gain new skills. They have all the traditional classes in drawing, painting and cartooning, working in all mediums.

In addition, they offer Portfolio Prep classes for teens interested in pursuing art in college, fashion design and illustration, mixed media and 3D design. Recycling bottles, cardboard, Styrofoam and cans, artists create all sorts of characters, creatures in Papier Mache classes.

Artisan Studio takes pride in the integrity and nurturing of their teachers, who truly help their students improve their artistic abilities and gain confidence. These new skills often transfer into academic areas improving handwriting, neatness, and patience in doing their homework.

Art is stress free and very adaptable for all ages and ability levels. We are a certified provider for Easter Seals and the State of New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities, participating in their programs for adults with developmental disabilities. We also travel offsite to assisted living facilities, nursing homes and other facilities.
