Caregiver charged with improper sexual contact of resident of Monroe group home

 

MONROE – An employee who provided care to residents at a group home in Monroe has been charged with the criminal sexual contact of a resident.

Ganesh Gudar, 46, of Monroe, was charged on Aug. 24 with one count of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree, according to information provided by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief Michael Lloyd of the Monroe Police Department.

The defendant was charged during an investigation by Sgt. Keith Saloom of the Monroe Police Department and Detective Allie Bitterman of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation determined that on Aug. 21, Gudar, who works and resides at the group home, allegedly improperly touched a 62-year-old female resident.

Gudar is scheduled to appear in New Brunswick Superior Court on Oct. 9.
