Junior Achievement of New Jersey (JANJ) announced that Kirkland Andrews, executive vice president and chief financial officer of NRG Energy, Inc., has been elected to its state Board of Directors.
The nearly 100-year-old non-profit, which is headquartered in Raritan Center in Edison, is a free educational resource dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success and plan for their futures.
Andrews said NRG’s partnership with JANJ is an investment in the community’s youth, and future energy and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) leaders.
