Community art project on display at East Brunswick Library

The East Brunswick Public Library and the East Brunswick Art Commission partnered for an exhibition featuring artwork created by the community, which is on display at the library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, throughout the month.

The community art project consists of nearly 400 small canvases decorated by adults and children, which were created during programs at the library and at outreach events throughout East Brunswick.

The display also includes an exhibit called “Mini EB” made of photograph paper dolls of area residents in a town setting created by East Brunswick resident and artist Barbara Smith. This is inspired by artist Michael Velliquette’s 2013 “Lovey Town” project.

Both exhibits are available during the library’s normal hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
