The Bordentown Township police announced the arrest of a Hamilton resident for a burglary that occurred on Oct. 31.
Thaddeus White, 57, of McClellan Avenue in Hamilton, was reported around 12 p.m. on that day by a homeowner on Farnsworth Avenue who said to have observed White leaving the area of their residence, pushing an orange bicycle from their property.
According to a report from the police, officials stopped White on Route 206 south bound, and found him in possession of the resident’s bicycle, leaf blower and a computer bag, which had all been removed from the property. He was pushing the bike on foot when he was stopped by police.
Officials said an inspection of the resident’s garage revealed that White had forced entry through a window.
White was reported to then be taken into custody and found to be in possession two bags of heroin. Officials charged White with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and released on a summons complaint pending a future court date.
Township police later fielded a report of a burglary that occurred during the daytime hours of Oct. 31 to a residence on Stanton Avenue, but officials said White isn’t considered a suspect in that case at this time.
Township detectives said they are pursuing leads for that incident and request that anyone with information to contact them at 609-298-4300.
