SOUTH AMBOY – The South Amboy Recreation Office is inviting residents to take part in its holiday events.
First will be the Holiday Home Decorating Contest. First place will receive $200 for the best decorated house. All homes that wish to participate must be decorated by Dec. 12. Judging will take place on Dec. 14.
In conjunction with the voting, the Recreation Office and the South Amboy Historical Society will hold trolley rides to South Amboy’s historic sites, as well as tot he first place and the runners up in the decorating contest, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 14. A guide from the Historical Society will provide history/background as the Holly Jolly Holiday Ride travels throughout the city.
The contest and the trolley ride are only available to South Amboy residents. The trolley is first come, first served with limited seating.
