Mr.Woodward, 87, ofMiddletown, died Jan. 18, 2008, following a brief illness. Born in Jersey City, he relocated to Middletown in 1947. He was employed at Conrail, retiring in 1981. Prior to that, he was employed for 38 years at Railway Express Agency, and Air Express at Newark Airport. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, NewMonmouth section ofMiddletown.He was predeceased by two sisters, Eileen Resetar and Margaret Grace. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florence Enderlein Woodward; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Ann Woodward Jr. of The Villages, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chris of Middletown; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and JackMc- Grady; a brother-in-law, Arthur Grace; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church. Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery,NorthArlington.Arrangementswere by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home,Middletown.
