NAMI NJ poetry contest focuses on the theme of flying

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI NJ) Dara Axelrod Expressive Arts Mental Health Poetry Contest 2018 will be held in honor of National Poetry Month in April and Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

There are many definitions of flying in Webster’s Dictionary. The theme of “moving or capable of moving in the air” is the basis for the challenge for this year’s poetry contest.

Poems must be typewritten, no longer than 40 lines, and not sent as a PDF file. A media release form must accompany the entry.

Deadline is April 1.

Mail the poem to the NAMI NJ Poetry Contest, 1562 Route 130, North Brunswick. Or, send an email to [email protected]. A media release form must be signed.
