NORTH BRUNSWICK – The North Brunswick School District was honored for its achievements in arts and music education.
Superintendent Brian Zychowski accepted a proclamation on behalf of arts educators during the Feb. 19 Township Council meeting.
The proclamation states that art offers problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, as well as a deeper understanding of multicultural benefits.
The North Brunswick Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services then honored the North Brunswick School District Music Department for supporting township events.

From North Brunswick Township High School: Vanessa Moreno, choir teacher; Cooper Ford, orchestra teacher; Jeffrey Smith, band teacher; Danielle Nudelman, band/percussion teacher; Paul Bongiovi, percussion director
Linwood Middle School: Richard Golazeski, orchestra teacher; Rachel Clark, choir teacher; Christopher English, band teacher
Judd Elementary School: Elizabeth Perryman, general music teacher; Joseph Scala, instrumental music teacher
Parsons Elementary School: Meghan Major, general music teacher; Phyllis Bonaduce, instrumental music teacher
Livingston Park Elementary School: Elizabeth Fackelman, general music teacher; Stephen Komar, instrumental music teacher
John Adams Elementary School: Arwen Kapusta, general music teacher; Dan Mitchell, instrumental music teacher
“It is an honor to stand in front of such a talented group that works so hard,” Egan said, noting the music department stresses that children should learn to support their community early on.
