The Old Bridge Public Library will hold a variety of activities for all ages in celebration of National Library Week from April 7-13 at the library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.
Maker Monday: Love Your Library Crafts will be held at 7 p.m. April 8. Children ages 3-8 are invited; children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required for each child participating by calling 732-721-5600, ext. 5033 or visiting www.oldbridgelibrary.org.
A Stuffed Animal Sleepover will be held at 7 p.m. April 9. Families are invited to participate in a special nighttime story time with their favorite stuffed animals. The furry friends will “sleep over” in the library and can be picked up the next day. Their owners will see how much fun they had in the library overnight complete with pictures to take home.
The National Library Week Celebration will be held from 2-4 p.m. April 10. This drop-in event will feature light refreshments, music and several crafts. While it is geared for adults, all ages are welcome.
Library tours will be held at 4 p.m. April 8, 11 a.m. April 9, 4 p.m. April 10, 4 p.m. April 11 and 11 a.m. April 13. Tours will meet at the circulation desk and will provide an overview of the various library departments and resources. Participants will receive information and small giveaways.
Love Your Library Story Time and Craft will be at 4 p.m. April 10. This family program will feature a story time focused on reading and libraries, followed by a special craft to make a personalized library card holder.
The library will also raffle off a gift basket containing books for all ages and a $10 Amazon gift card. Anyone visiting the library during the week is eligible to submit a free raffle ticket, one ticket per person, per day. The winner will be drawn the following week.
