Manalapan Police Beat, April 10

The Manalapan Police Department reported the following incidents occurred in the township:

• On April 1 at 12:43 a.m., an unknown woman passed a fraudulent $100 bill at a business on Union Hill Road. Police said the woman made a purchase, received change in exchange for the fraudulent bill and then left the area. The woman was described as an Hispanic female, in her 20’s, with auburn hair, freckles, a thin build and a tattoo on her left hand.

• On March 27 at 11:06 a.m., a resident of Notting Hill Court, in a development off Route 537, reported a theft. The resident told police that sometime between Dec. 8, 2018 and March 27, an unknown individual stole diamond earrings from inside the home. The earrings are valued at approximately $3,000.

• On March 31 at 10:11 a.m., a resident of Ryan Road reported an incident of criminal mischief. The resident told police an unknown individual threw a large rock through the window of a vehicle sometime between March 30-31.

• On March 25 at 10:30 a.m., a resident of Molly Pitcher Drive, off Craig Road, reported an incident of criminal mischief. The resident told police an unknown individual threw eggs at the home sometime between March 24-25.

• On March 25 at 3:17 p.m., a resident of Belaire Lane, off Taylors Mills Road, reported an incident of vandalism. The resident told police an unknown individual threw eggs at her vehicle during the overnight hours of March 22. Police said the resident reported there was no permanent damage to the vehicle.

• On March 25 at 9:31 a.m., officers responded to two homes on Glendale Drive, off Taylors Mills Road, to investigate a report of a car burglary. Two residents told the officers an unknown individual entered their vehicles during the early morning hours of March 25. Both vehicles had been left unlocked. No items were removed from either vehicle. Police are reminding residents to lock the doors of their vehicles overnight and to remove valuables from vehicles.
