Results in for East Windsor/Hightstown primaries

The voters have spoken, nominating Democratic and Republican slates of candidates to run for the East Windsor Township Council and the Hightstown Borough Council in the June 4 political party primaries.

In East Windsor Township, Democratic incumbent Township Council members Janice S. Mironov, Marc Lippman, Peter Yeager and John Zoller – all running unopposed – received 504 votes, 472 votes, 478 votes and 472 votes, respectively.

Republican Party voters nominated Paul K. Hummel Jr., Vincent Stottlemyer, Anna Lustenberg and Steven Uccio, who received 182 votes, 165 votes, 167 voters and 162 votes, respectively. They were running unopposed for the nod to run for East Windsor Township Council.

In Hightstown Borough, incumbent Democratic Hightstown Borough Council members Steven Misiura and Joshua Jackson earned 103 votes and 111 votes, respectively. They were running unopposed.

On the Republican Party side, incumbent Borough Council member Patricia Egan got 53 votes to run for a full term. She was appointed to fill out an unexpired term through December 2019, and now wants a full term. She will run alone, as no one else filed for the second seat.

For the nomination to fill an unexpired term on Hightstown Borough Council that ends in December 2020, Democratic candidate Joseph Cicalese got 105 votes and Republican candidate James Eufemia got 53 votes. Both ran unopposed.

The vote totals, provided by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office, are unofficial and do not include mail-in ballots.
