The Manalapan Police Department reported the following incidents occurred in the township:
• On May 20, officers responded to Park Avenue in reference to the report of a theft. Upon arrival, the officers met with the property manager who advised them that sometime between May 18 and May 20, an unknown individual entered four commercial mailboxes and removed mail.
• On May 18, officers responded to a residence on Hedgerow Lane in reference to the report of a theft. The resident told the officers that sometime between 10 p.m. May 17
and 9 a.m. May 18, an unknown individual entered the garage, entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a purse containing items valued at approximately $470.
• On May 16 at 12:45 p.m., Patrolman Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed the vehicle was occupied by a a 31-year-old male resident of Laceyville, Pa., and a 26-year-old female resident of Susquehanna, Pa. Both individuals were found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The male was also found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle. Both individuals were arrested, processed and released.
• On May 16 at 6:04 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Elizabeth Place in reference to the report of a theft. A resident told the officers that sometime between May 9 and May
16, an unknown individual entered the backyard and removed outdoor patio furniture valued at $1,600.
• On May 16 at 5:29 p.m., officers responded to a business on Gordons Corner Road in reference to the report of a theft. A Manalapan resident told the officers that sometime between 3:40-4:50 p.m., an unknown individual stole a backpack containing personal items that were valued at $454.
• On May 15, officers responded to a residence on Oxford Road in reference to the report of fraud. A resident told the officers an unknown individual fraudulently opened a bank account using the victim’s personal information. In addition, resident said there were unauthorized charges on the victim’s credit card totaling approximately $500.
