LAWRENCE POLICE BLOTTER: Jan. 28

  • William W. Hernandez, 27, of Trenton, was charged with driving under the influence after he was found asleep behind the wheel of a pickup truck that was idling in the left lane of Brunswick Pike at 5:11 a.m. Jan. 25. 
  • David Gomez, 52, of Pennington, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident on Federal City Road at 6:56 p.m. Jan. 24. 
  • A truck was damaged when it caught fire as its driver was attempting to plow snow in a driveway on Van Kirk Road at 11:25 p.m. Jan. 23. The driver saw smoke and got out of the truck, which then burst into flames. The fire was extinguished by the Lawrenceville Fire Co. 
  • Megan L. Furda, 26, of Trenton, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and having a prohibited weapon (a switch-blade knife) following a motor vehicle stop on I-295 south at 10 p.m. Jan. 22. She was taken to the Mercer County Correctional Center after she was unable to post $20,000 bail with the 10 percent option. She was also found to have outstanding warrants from the Trenton and Princeton municipal courts. 
  •  Alic J. Anes, 26, of Trenton, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, failure to turn over a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Eggerts Crossing Road at 11:14 p.m. Jan. 21. 
