WEST WINDSOR — Two would-be shoplifters threatened to shoot a Walmart loss prevention officer outside the store, before fleeing empty-handed shortly before 5:30 p.m. Jan. 15, according to the Police Department.
The two shoplifters had each picked three bed comforters and put them in shopping carts, police said. One of the men left the store without paying for the merchandise, while the second man abandoned his shopping cart near the Customer Service desk and joined his friend outside.
One of the men threatened the loss prevention officer, police said. The man reached toward his waistband, stating that “I’m going to shoot you.” The two men got into a white Ford pickup truck and fled the scene, police said.
The two suspects were described as black men, about 30 to 50 years old, both had beards, and were wearing black winter hats. One was wearing a dark red fleece and jeans, and the other was wearing an orange leather jacket and jeans.
