PRINCETON POLICE BLOTTER: March 17

  • A 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were taken into custody for disorderly conduct in the 300 block of Witherspoon Street at 5:08 p.m. March 13. The boy was also charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. 
  • Laura Sliwa, 19, of Lawrenceville, was turned over to the Princeton Police Department at 4:23 p.m. March 13 after she was arrested by the North Hanover Police Department on an outstanding warrant for $600 from the Princeton Municipal Court. She was also found to have outstanding warrants totaling $1,229.87 from other jurisdictions. 
  • An act of lewdness, which occurred inside a business on the first block of Witherspoon Street, was reported to police at 9 a.m. March 12. The victim identified the accused, but did not wish to pursue the matter criminally at the time of the report. The investigation is ongoing, but no charges have been filed yet. 
  • Someone stole a dozen “open house” signs that were placed out on various streets on March 7. When the victim went to pick up the signs on March 12, they were gone. The signs were valued at a combined $480. The theft was reported at 9 a.m. March 14. 
  • A man reported the theft of his jacket, which contained $400 in cash in one of the pockets, after he got up from his seat outside a business on Spring Street so that he could throw away some garbage. The incident occurred at 3:50 p.m. March 12. 
  • Christopher Bonanni, 18, of Mullica Hill, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 5:03 p.m. March 12 on Walnut Lane. 
  • Serge Nelson Jr., 29, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for failure to maintain his lane on Walnut Lane at 2:28 a.m. March 11. 
