HOPEWELL TWP.: Car stopped when dragging a bumper

On April 9 at 6:22 p.m. Hopewell Township Police Officer Mandy Grey stopped a 2007 Toyota dragging its rear bumper on the pavement on Route 546 near Scotch Road.
While speaking with the driver, who was identified as Christopher A. Snare, 39, of Chalfont, Pa., she said she smelled alcohol on him. After roadside sobriety testing he was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, from where he was released after being charged with DWI and reckless driving. No accident scene was located where he might have crashed.
Mr. Snare was released to a family member. His case will be heard in municipal court.

On April 13 at 9:36 p.m. Officer Mandy Grey stopped a 2006 Hyundai for allegedly failing to stop at stop sign on Denow Road.
While speaking to the driver, who was identified as Eric W. Rowe, 20, of Fran Avenue, Ewing, the officer said she smelled the odor of marijuana on him and in the vehicle. A search of the motor vehicle uncovered a small amount of marijuana, police said.
He was placed under arrest for possession and taken to headquarters. Later he was released. His case will be heard in municipal court.

On April 14 at 4:21 p.m. Officer Nicholas Sparaco arrested Desiree Brennan, 40, of Pennington Road, Pennington, on Pennington Road for a pending Montgomery Township warrant. She posted bail and was released.

On April 15 at 2:01 p.m. Officer James Rosso stopped a 2009 Mercedes for being unregistered. He spoke with the driver, identified as Jessica S. Bloch, 31, of Robbinsville. A Pennington Borough warrant for her arrest was found. She was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where she posted bail and was released.

On April 12 at 12:45 p.m. Officer James Hoffman stopped a 2016 Toyota on Bear Tavern Road because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. While speaking to the driver, who was identified as Alexia S. Grant, 28, of Middlesex, warrants for her arrest from North Brunswick and Middlesex Borough were located, police said.
She was placed and later posted bail and was released after being cited for driving without using a seatbelt and driving while her privileges were suspended.
