HILLSBOROUGH: Espinosa graduates at the top of her class at Connecticut academy

Chelsea Espinosa has earned the honor of valedictorian for the graduating class at Cheshire (Conn.) Academy, a college preparatory boarding school in Connecticut for grades 8-12 and post-graduates.
Paola Fortes of Xalapa, Mexico, earned the second-highest rank and was named salutatorian of the class.
Head of School John D. Nozell called Chelsea and Paola “two great examples of the type of students we have here at Cheshire Academy. Both are brilliant scholars as well as leaders in our community, and they will be sorely missed next year.” Chelsea, who is from Hillsborough, added, “My mind frame was always to just work hard and do the best I can.”
She will give her speech during Cheshire Academy’s 222nd commencement ceremony Saturday, June 4, alongside official speaker Peter J. Yesawich Jr., a creative director.
Chelsea, who will attend Princeton University, said, “I’m moving on to a bigger group of students, so the people should be really interesting.”
