HOPEWELL: Harvest Fair committee invites volunteers to help

Volunteers are invited to attend the first planning meeting for the 30th Annual Hopewell Harvest Fair on Wednesday, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hopewell Borough Train Station.
Volunteers are sought to assist in the planning of the annual event, scheduled to take place this year on Saturday, Sept. 24, on the grounds of the Hopewell Elementary School.
The all-volunteer Hopewell Harvest Fair Planning Committee works throughout the summer to plan the family event that brings together thousands of Hopewell Valley residents, businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Each event and area of the fair is organized by a volunteer, and positions are available for anyone looking to make an impact — and make new friends.
“The Hopewell Harvest Fair is such a great event, and it is fun planning it!” says long-time volunteer Janice Schroeder, currently a board trustee. “I think it’s a great opportunity for any area newcomer, or someone who is looking for more connections in the Hopewell Valley. I’ve made many wonderful friends working on the fair.”
The Hopewell Harvest Fair Board of Trustees is also looking for a planning committee chairperson to organize and oversee the volunteers working on each aspect of the event. Anyone who loves Hopewell, is well organized and looking for a volunteer project this summer is invited to contact Julie Sansone, board president and a former chairperson), for details, at [email protected] or 609-915-5789.
The Harvest Fair is also a fundraiser for the Community Grants Program, which awards amounts of money to local nonprofit organizations.
The Hopewell Harvest Fair raindate is Sept. 25.
