A Pennington man allegedly shoplifted a bottle of vodka from the Shop-Rite liquor store on the Pennington Circle on May 17.
Hopewell Township Officer James Hoffman spoke with the suspect, who was identified as Brian Checkett, 38, of Heritage Court, Pennington at 6:07 p.m. The officer recovered the vodka that Mr. Checkett allegedly had concealed.
Mr. Checkett was placed under arrest and taken to police headquarters, from where he was released pending a municipal court hearing.
