HILLSBOROUGH: Dump truck driver dies in vehicle accident

 The driver of a dump truck died following a single-vehicle crash into the parking lot of Burger King at 385 Route 206, Hillsborough, at about 8:28 a.m. Tuesday, according to police.
Hillsborough Township police said a preliminary investigation revealed that Daniel Orlik, 59, of Somerset, turned his 1997 Volvo dump truck left out of a business driveway on Hamilton Road. The truck traveled for a short distance, failed to negotiate a curve, went into the parking lot of the fast-food restaurant and hit several trees and small shrubs, according to the police report.
The driver was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center by the Hillsborough Township Rescue Squad Unit 79, where he died.
The motor vehicle crash is still under investigation by Hillsborough police. Anyone with information is asked to contact police headquarters at 908-369- 4323. 
