HILLSBOROUGH: College students earn academic honors

Courtney Leigh Bennett and Dustin Thomas Ciano, both of Hillsborough, were among the more than 1,650 students named to the spring dean’s list at Kutztown (Pa.) University. An undergraduate must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade-point average of 3.60.

Hillsborough resident Natalie Thompson was one of the 1,292 undergraduate students named to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the spring semester at Worcester (Mass.) Polytechnic Institute.
Natalie is a member of the class of 2018 majoring in chemical engineering.WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

Amanda Casto, a junior music education major, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Grove City (Pa.) College. Amanda is a 2013 graduate of Hillsborough High School and is the daughter of Karen and Richard Casto from Hillsborough.
Students eligible for the dean’s list have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59.

Hillsborough students have earned spring academic honors at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.,
Three local students made the president’s list by earning a GPA of 3.9 or better while carrying at least 12 graded credit hours. They are:
— Alyssa DiGirolamo, who is majoring in health sciences; Danielle Gemignani, who is majoring in athletic training, and Megan Muller, who is majoring in finance.
— Kelly Alice Wishard was named to the dean’s list as a fulltime student who earned a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Kelly Alice is scheduled to graduate in 2017 and is majoring in nursing.
