PRINCETON POLICE BLOTTER: July 28

  • Gene Jones, 61, of Skillman, was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants totaling $3,951 issued by the Trenton and Ewing Township municipal courts after he was stopped for driving with a suspended driver’s license on Heather Lane at 4:24 p.m. July 25. 
  • Timothy Soo, 19, of Princeton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for being in Quarry Park on Spruce Street after the park was closed. The incident occurred at 10:04 p.m. July 24. 
  • Jose Vazquez, 38, of Clementon, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $106 from Pilesgrove Township Municipal Court after he was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt on Nassau Street at 10:57 a.m. July 23. 
  • Gurusimran Chadha, 20, of Lawrenceville, was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop for leaving the scene of an accident on Nassau Street at 1:36 a.m. July 23. 
  • An intruder was scared off from a house in the 600 block of Lawrenceville Road by the homeowner at 1:45 p.m. July 23. The homeowner noticed a Jeep in her driveway that appeared to be idling. She heard a knock on the door and then saw the intruder inside her house. The intruder fled through a door at the back of the house. The Detective Bureau is investigating. 
  • John McGinnis, 56, of Princeton, was charged with lewdness after someone reported a man performing a lewd act on Albert Hinds Plaza, adjacent to the Princeton Public Library, at 10:13 a.m. July 22. 
  • Ever Gomez Gomez, 24, of Princeton, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $500 from the Princeton Municipal Court following a pedestrian stop on Witherspoon Street at 11:26 p.m. July 21. 
  • An Apple iPad 2 was stolen from one of the secure rooms inside the Princeton Public Library on Witherspoon Street after the thieves entered the library and used an access key card to enter those rooms on July 18. The burglary and theft, which has been turned over to the Detective Bureau, was reported at 11:16 a.m. July 21. 
  • Several jewelry boxes were stolen from a house in the 100 block of Hodge Road between March and June. The theft was reported at 1:20 p.m. July 21. 
  • The owner of a company on Vandeventer Avenue reported that someone forged five checks representing her company and then cashed them. The forgery incident was reported at 10:18 a.m. July 20. It has been turned over to the Detective Bureau for investigation. 
  • Brian Mulvaney, 31, of Princeton, was charged with criminal mischief for driving over the athletic fields at the Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart at 2:26 p.m. July 19. Police were called to investigate a vehicle that was driving erratically on the athletic fields on Stuart Road. 
  • A 15-year-old boy was charged with criminal mischief for spraying ketchup on another person’s clothing. The incident occurred on Witherspoon Street and was reported at 6:47 p.m. July 18. The juvenile was released to his parents’ custody. 
