MERCER: ‘Tribute bands’ highlight free Saturday night concerts 

“Tribute bands” will rule at the five free Saturday night summer concerts at the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds in West Windsor.
Concerts will be given by the Chevy Chevis and Band, as well as bands that pay tribute to the Rolling Stones, Beatles, John Mellencamp and the Eagles.
Shows will run from 6 to 10 p.m.
Chevy Chevis and Band, from New York, will kick off the series at the festival grounds on Saturday, July 9, featuring rock, funk and soul.
British Invasion Night, featuring “Satisfaction: A Rolling Stones Tribute” and Blue Meanies’ “Beatles Tribute” is scheduled for Saturday, July 23. The Blue Meanies will play from 6 to 8 p.m. and Satisfaction will play from 8 to 10 p.m.
Local Legends Night, featuring DD & The Divebombers, Joe Zook & Blues Deluxe, and the Ernie White Band, is scheduled for Saturday, July 30. This multi-band concert of Mercer County groups will feature a repertoire of blues and popular songs. DD & The Divebombers and Joe Zook & Blues Deluxe specialize in blues and the Ernie White Band specializes in rock.
“’80s Night” will take place Saturday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 10 p.m., when the Prophets and 80s Under Cover will rock the grounds with nostalgic ’80s tunes. The Prophets will play from 6 to 8 p.m. and 80’s Under Cover will play from 8 to 10.
“Humans Wheels: A John Mellencamp Tribute” and the “Best of the Eagles: An Eagles Tribute” is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20. Human Wheels will play from 6 to 8 p.m. and Best of the Eagles will play from 8 to 10.
Attendees will be able to buy food and beer and wine at each concert.
The park has entrances on Old Trenton Road and Hughes Drive in West Windsor.
