The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016.
Luis A. Cabrera, 23, of Hamilton, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, having unclear license plates, driving while suspended, being an unlicensed driver and having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle after being stopped at 7:06 p.m. Sept. 15 on East Ward Street.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Route 33 with an unclear plate. The vehicle was stopped and while speaking with driver, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from within the vehicle. Mr. Cabrera was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and later released pending court action.
Ryan L. Dupuis, 21, of Aquebogue, New York, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at 12:53 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Days Inn.
An officer responded to the parking lot of the Days Inn on a report of individuals in several trucks drinking alcoholic beverages. Upon arrival the officer observed numerous people in the parking lot along with an individual in a truck trying to leave the area. The truck was stopped and while speaking with the driver the officer smelled the odor of marijuana from within the vehicle. The investigation revealed Mr. Dupuis was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and later released pending court action.
Alejandra A. Mondragon, 32, of Garfield, N.J., was charged with DUI, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to exhibit license, failure to exhibit registration and maintenance of lamps after being stopped at 11:01 p.m. Sept. 17 on Route 130.
Officers responded to the area of Route 130 and Old Cranbury Road on a report of an erratic driver. An officer observed the vehicle being operated in a careless manner and conducted a motor vehicle stop. While speaking with the driver the officer smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage from within the vehicle. The driver was given field sobriety test and arrested for DUI. The driver was later released pending court action.
Officers responded to Windsor Labs, 55 Lake Drive, at 3:46 p.m. Sept. 21 on a report of a past tense burglary to an equipment shed. The property owner reported that someone entered a locked shed sometime between Sept. 17 and Sept. 21, 2016, and stole a weedwacker and leaf blower.
Juan Maldonado, 19 of East Windsor, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance after an incident at 3:55 p.m. Sept. 21 on Twin Rivers Drive North.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Twin Rivers Drive North for a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers encountered several individuals, one of whom was found to be under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Maldonado was arrested and later released pending court action.
The Hightstown Police Department initiated the following police reports from Sept. 20 through Sept. 25, 2016.
Two vehicles, parked near building No. 1, in the Westerlea Arms Apartments, were vandalized (tires slashed) Sept. 20. If anyone has information regarding this incident, please contact the Hightstown Police Department.
Melvin R. Burgos, 61, of Elizabeth, was arrested Sept. 21 at the Hightstown Municipal Court and sentenced by the judge to serve 10 consecutive days at the Mercer County Adult Correctional Facility. Mr. Burgos was transported by court officers and committed to the county jail.
A victim of a motor vehicle theft came to the station Sept. 24 to report that his vehicle was burglarized and that items were removed from the vehicle. The owner reported that his vehicle was parked near his residence on Perry L. Drew Place, at approximately 8 p.m. on Sept. 23. The following morning at 8 a.m., the owner observed items missing from his vehicle. If anyone has information regarding this incident, please contact the Hightstown Police Department.
Vinicio M. Mogrovejo, 20, of East Windsor, was arrested Sept. 25 for DWI, during the course of an accident investigation on Stockton Street. Mr. Mogrovejo was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released to a friend.
