More than 7,000 students returned to the Hillsborough Township Public School District’s nine schools on Tues., Sept. 6 to kick off the 2016-17 school year.
Leading up to the big day, district officials said a number of new educational programs were set up and facilities upgrades were completed.
District-wide overall wellness initiatives that focus on the importance of total health will be implemented this year, while third and fourth grade students will be issued their own Chromebooks for the first time.
“We are very excited for the start of the new school year,” Superintendent Dr. Jorden Schiff said.
