I was a Super Saturday for John Witherspoon School.
The annual event, sponsored by the Princeton middle school’s PTO, brouhgt out students, families and friends to Walnut Street on Saturday.
Super Saturday was a carnival of cakes, boardwalk games, food trucks, and a bandstand for music and entertainment.
This community-building event is JW’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds from Super Saturday help support the sixth grade environmental field trip, the eighth grade’s Washington, D.C., field trip, and other enrichment programs. The money funds all students who have financial needs to pay for these trips.
“Super Saturday isn’t only our most essential fundraiser of the year,” said principal Jason Burr, “We host this activity early in the school year to welcome new families, and help students cultivate new friendships. Schools are an important part of any community. This is a way that we bring that community close together.”
The JW PTO had the generous support of sponsors: Weichert Realtors, Hamilton Dental Associates, Callaway Henderson, The Majeski Foundation, and Gratitude Yoga.
