Mayor DelCore pushed for more open space

To the editor:
In early February it was announced that a $1 billion natural gas power plant would not follow through with its plans to build in Hillsborough due to opposition from our local officials. Mayor DelCore was at the forefront of the opposition and voiced significant concerns about the construction of the power plant.
Mayor DelCore has made it a priority to ensure that the most environmentally sensitive areas of the township are protected and allowing Hillsborough to retain its bucolic charm. I also appreciate his work in continuing to push for more open space acquisition to keep these properties off limits to developers.
I will be voting for the re-election of Mayor Frank DelCore on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
