Dr. Christine Ibrahim is the new medical director of the Immediate Care Medical Walk-In of East Windsor.
Dr. Ibrahim brings years of experience in both family practice and urgent care to her new position. Over the past four years, Dr. Ibrahim has practiced as an attending physician with Integrated Medicine Alliance, seeing patients at the Red Bank primary care office, and several of their urgent care facilities in Monmouth County. Dr. Ibrahim excels at providing quality medical services in a high volume, urgent care environment, assessing and managing emergency situations with fluidity and care.
“The purpose of a physician is not simply to treat disease but to treat the patient as a whole,” said Dr. Ibrahim. “Being in an urgent care gives me a unique opportunity to treat patients who acutely need care but also to encourage healthy lifestyle and preventative medicine.“
Dr. Ibrahim completed her internship and residency at Somerset Medical Center, now Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset, where she built patient-physician relationships by providing personalized care for acute and chronic conditions. Prior to that, Dr. Ibrahim obtained her doctorate from the Ross University School of Medicine Education and completed her bachelor’s degree at Rutgers Honors College.
In March 2012, she traveled to Nairobi, Kenya for an international medicine elective in family medicine. During her time in Kenya she worked at Coptic Hospital, delivering full spectrum, multi-specialty care in a challenging environment. She provided outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care services including home care to patients at the Coptic Orphanage.
“I became a physician because I could not imagine doing anything else. It is a calling that I am fully dedicated to and I strive to deliver high quality and compassionate care to all my patients,” she said.
In addition to being fully licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey, Dr. Ibrahim is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine. She is also a certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, a certified Basic Life Support Provider, and holds her ECFMG Certification. Dr. Ibrahim is a member of the Medical Society of New Jersey and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Ibrahim also speaks Arabic.
