Montgomery Township voters returned Republican incumbent Mayor Patricia Graham and Deputy Mayor Ed Trzaska back to Township Committee, despite challenges from Democratic Party write-in candidates Sadaf Jaffer and Shailandra Vaish and Libertarian Party candidate Patrick McKnight.
Mayor Graham was the top vote-getter with 5,702 votes. Mr. Trzaska, who is the deputy mayor, earned 5,547 votes. The two Democratic write-in candidates received 476 votes and 422 votes. Mr. McKnight got 1,194 votes. The term on Township Committee is for three years.
