POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 11/25

The Hopewell Township Police Department reported the following incidents from Nov. 2 through Nov. 11, 2016.
The charges are no more than an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.


A 27 year-old woman from North Wales, Pennsylvania, was taken into police custody on Wednesday, Nov. 2 after police allegedly found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on her person at the scene of a crash.
According to officials, the incident took place at about 5:44 p.m. when Officer Robert Voorhees responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident.
While speaking with one of the drivers, Milissa A. Hamilton, the officer’s investigation resulted in the recovery of marijuana and repacked tobacco cigars filled with the drug.
Ms. Hamilton was taken into police custody and transported to headquarters, where she was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia.
She was processed and subsequently released.


Police apprehended Donald Caggiano, a 47-year-old man from Ringoes, on Thursday, Nov. 3, for allegedly operating a motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol just before 11:30 a.m.
Officer Alexis Mirra responded to a report of a man falling off of his motorcycle along Princeton Avenue.
Following a roadside sobriety test, Mr. Caggiano was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with DWI in a school zone, reckless driving and driving a motorcycle without a helmet. His case will be heard in Hopewell Borough Court.


Alleged terroristic threats brought police to the Northfield Bank on Denow Road on Tuesday, Nov. 8, after receiving reports that Thomas C. Else, 44, of Pennington, was being unruly just before 1 p.m.
Police said Mr. Else had made threats against bank employees when they refused to serve him.
Mr. Else was apprehended by police and taken to headquarters, where he was processed and released. His case will be reviewed by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.


Kaylee M. Wyckoff, 18, of Pennington, was apprehended by police on Friday, Nov. 11, and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Officer John Ferner responded to a noise complaint in the area of Dublin Road and Glenwood Drive just before noon when he came into contact with Ms. Wyckoff. It was then that he allegedly found her to be in possession of the narcotic and a smoking pipe.
She was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court. 
