POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 11/4/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016. 
Edward Scott Conover, 46, of Plainsboro, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, obstructing, DUI, eluding and multiple motor vehicle violations after being stopped at 11:02 p.m. Oct. 21 on Abbington Drive.
An officer conducted a license plate check of a motorcycle operating recklessly on Abbington Drive and was alerted that the vehicle was reported stolen. The officer attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop at which time the operator of the motorcycle eluded the officer by driving off the roadway and onto the sidewalk. Once detained, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and also discovered the driver was in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Conover was arrested and remanded to the Mercer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail. 
Luis A. Mendez-Tomala, 21, of Peekskill, N.Y., was charged with less than 50 grams and possesion of drug paraphernalia; and Brian F. Cardenas-Jaramillo, 19, also of Peekskill, N.Y., was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at 3 a.m. Oct. 22 on Bennington Drive.
An officer observed a suspicious occupied vehicle parked on Bennington Drive. Further investigation revealed that the driver and passenger were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver was arrested and later released pending court action. 
Michael D. McCoy, 48, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle after being stopped at 10:50 a.m. Oct. 22 on Route 33.
An officer conducted a vehicle stop on Route 33 for a motor vehicle infraction. Further investigation revealed that the passenger was in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol. Additionally, the passenger had three outstanding warrants from the East Windsor Municipal Court in the amount of $1,120 bail and one warrant from Hightstown Municipal Court in the amount of $750 bail. Mr. McCoy was arrested and turned over to the Mercer County Correctional Facility. 
Edmond B. Scott, 28, of Baltimore, MD, was charged with obstructing justice, resisting arrest, escape, hindering his own apprehension and prohibited hitchhiking; and Antonio M. Bowens, 28, of Glen Burnie, MD, was charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not allowed to possess a weapon, unlawful possession of a knife, hindering own apprehension, obstructing justice, resisting arrest, suppressing/concealing evidence, disorderly donduct and prohibited hitchhiking after an incident at 1:20 a.m. Oct. 23 on Route 130.
An officer encountered two individuals hitchhiking on Route 130 near Old Cranbury Road. Further investigation revealed that one of the subjects had an active arrest warrant. During the arrest the subject attempted to flee on foot and was ultimately taken into custody after a brief foot chase. While the second subject was being detained he was observed to have dropped something in a nearby storm drain. Officers later retrieved the item, which was a revolver style handgun. Both individuals were arrested and remanded to the Mercer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail. 
Robert C. Kroeckel, 23, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and failure to wear seatbelt after being stopped at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 26 on Hankins Road.
An officer observed the driver of a vehicle not wearing his seatbelt and conducted a motor vehicle stop on Hankins Road. Further investigation revealed the driver was in possession of Xanax, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles. Mr. Kroeckel was arrested and later released pending court action. 
The Hightstown Police Department initiated the following police reports from Oct. 26 through Nov. 1, 2016. 
Byron K. Stokes, 20, of Lithia, FL, was arrested Oct. 26 on an active warrant out of Robbinsville Township Municipal Court, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Mercer Street. Mr. Stokes was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released after posting bail. 
A patrol was detailed to a parking lot on North Main Street Oct. 27 for a report of a female subject sleeping in a vehicle. Upon arrival, patrol officers identified the female as Nancy Reuben, 77, of Trenton. Ms. Reuben was later taken into custody on an active warrant out of Lawrence Township Municipal Court. Ms. Reuben was subsequently transported to the Lawrence Township Police Department, in lieu of bail. 
Roman A. Hillis, 19, of Roosevelt, was arrested Oct. 28 for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage possession of alcohol, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Street. Mr. Hillis was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released on a complaint summons. 
Owen W. Alustiza, 22, of Hightstown, was arrested Nov. 1 at a residence on the 200 Block of Stockton Street for disorderly conduct, after Hightstown Officer’s arrived at said residence for a noise complaint. Mr. Alustiza was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released on a complaint summons. 

