WEST WINDSOR POLICE BLOTTER: Dec. 23

A 48-year-old Princeton man reported that when he tried to use his Home Depot gift card at the Home Depot store in the Nassau Park shopping center, he was told that the card had no value. It was discovered that someone had accessed his gift card information and made purchases worth $96.76, sometime between Aug. 26 and Dec. 2. The incident was reported at 1:04 p.m. Dec. 2.
A thief removed a wallet belonging to a 40-year-old Princeton woman from her lunch bag, which had been left in an employee break room at the Walmart store on Nassau Park Boulevard, and tried to make four fraudulent purchases with a bank card. The incident occurred between Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, and was reported at 11:44 a.m. Dec. 2.
A 56-year-old Robbinsville woman reported the theft of her wallet from her purse, which she had left in her office at Mercer County Community College. When the victim contacted her credit card company, she was told that her American Express card had been used at a liquor store in Trenton. The incident occurred Nov. 30 and was reported at 9:59 a.m. Dec. 1.
Someone stole a U.S. Passport, identification documents, a Social Security card, a naturalization certificate, blank checking account checks from Bank of America and miscellaneous documents while the 51-year-old victim was staying at the Extended Stay America hotel on Route 1, between July 5, 2013 and Sept. 7. The incident was reported at 1:01 p.m. Nov. 29.
A 52-year-old West Windsor woman reported that she ordered a Monikers game valued at $24.99 from Target online and a few days later, found the empty game box on her front porch. The incident was reported at 4:23p.m. Nov. 29.
About $100 in cash was removed from two unlocked cars belonging to a 57-year-old West Windsor man while they were parked in the driveway of his home. The incident was reported at 4:44 p.m. Nov. 28.
A sweater valued at $34 was reported stolen from an unlocked 2012 Land Rover belonging to a 46-year-old West Windsor woman while it was parked in her driveway between Nov. 27 and Nov. 28. The two glove compartments and center console had been left hanging open. The incident was reported at 7:55 a.m. Nov. 28.
