PRINCETON: Patrick Sullivan elected president of school board

Patrick Sullivan was elected president of the the Princeton Board of Education at the board’s organization meeting on Tuesday night. Dafna Kendal was elected vice president., The board welcomed three new members, appointed committees, and designated a meeting schedule through Jan. 2, 2018., The board welcomed Deborah “Debbie” Bronfeld, William Hare, and Gregory Stankiewicz, whose terms expire in 2019. The remaining board members include Betsy Kalber-Baglio, Ms. Kendal, and Mr. Sullivan, whose terms expire in 2018; and Justin Doran, Fern Spruill, and Connie Witter, whose terms expire the end of this year., Mr. Sullivan and Ms. Kendal will serve in their new offices through the next organization meeting, Jan. 2, 2018., Ms. Spruill, Mr. Sullivan, and Mr. Doran will serve on the facilities committee; Ms. Kendal will act as chair. Mr. Hare, Mr. Stankiewicz, and Ms. Witter will serve on the finance committee; Mr. Doran will act as chiar. Mr. Sullivan, Ms. Bronfield, and Ms. Kalber-Baglio will serve on the personnel committee; Ms. Witter will act as chair. Mr. Stankiewicz and Mr. Hare will serve on the policy committee; Ms. Kalber-Baglio and Ms. Kendal will act as co-chairs. Ms. Spruill, Ms. Bronfield, and Ms. Kendal will serve on the student achievement committee; Ms. Kalber-Baglio will act as chair., The approved meeting schedule for the ensuing school board year is available at princetonk12.org on the Board of Education homepage., The next board meeting will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, in the Valley Road board conference room.
