Saul Lopez-Gomez, 25, of Hillside Avenue, Princeton, was charged with criminal trespass after he was found asleep on a couch at a Heather Lane home at 6:19 a.m. March 7. The homeowners told police they did not know him and that he may have let himself into the house through an unlocked door. He was released with a pending court date., Ishmael Bivins, 28, of Redding Circle, Princeton, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Leigh Avenue at 11:35 p. m. March 6 for failure to observe a traffic signal. He was released with a pending court date., Miguel Abreu-Santana, 21, of Franklin Boulevard, Somerset, was arrested on an active warrant for $114 from the South Brunswick Township Municipal Court after his car was stopped for having an obstructed windshield at 4:11 p.m. March 6 on Princeton-Kingston Road., Someone tried to pass a fake $100 bill at the Domino’s Pizza store on State Road at 11:19 a.m. March 6. An employee recognized that the bill was counterfeit and told the suspect that he was calling the police. The suspect immediately left the store., Margaret Engel, 20, of Charlotte, N.C., was charged with tampering with public records after she was discovered to have a fictitious driver’s license in her possession at 8:10 p.m. March 3. Someone from the Princeton Public Library called to report a wallet that was found, and when police arrived, they determined that it belonged to Ms. Engel. The fictitious driver’s license was found inside the wallet. She was released with a pending court date., Gerardo Ayala, 37, of Petunia Drive, Levittown, Pa., was arrested on an active warrant for $300 from Camden City Municipal Court after he was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Stockton Street at Library Place at 8:57 a.m. March 2. He was released on his own recognizance by the Camden City Municipal Court., An iPhone belonging to a 14-year-old John Witherspoon Middle School student was reported stolen from the student’s locker at the school. The theft was reported at 9:30 a.m. March 2., Amit Rai, 52, of Gramercy Road, Monmouth Junction, was arrested on an active warrant for $164 from South Brunswick Township Municipal Court at Princeton Police headquarters at 11:18 a.m. March 1. He was released after posting bail., Patrick Prendergast, 22, of Cobblestone Way, Lawrenceville, was charged with receiving stolen property after he was found to be driving a car that had been reported stolen from Trenton. He was stopped by police at 12:57 a.m. Feb. 28 on Cherry Hill Road at Andrews Lane for failure to use a turn signal, and was issued a summons for that motor vehicle violation., Kwaku Owusu, 47, of Burnett Avenue, Maplewood, was arrested on an active warrant for $350 from Newark Municipal Court following a motor vehicle stop on River Road at 10:02 a.m. Feb. 28 for having an expired inspection sticker. He was also give a summons for that motor vehicle violation, and released after posting bail.
